NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito de Servicios Públicos Municipales del Condado de Montgomery No. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas, se reunirá en sesión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES 14 DE ENERO DE 2026 a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, en cuya reunión se considerarán y actuarán los siguientes puntos:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Presentation on innovative water meter solutions from Neptune Technology Group;

3. Minutes of December 10, 2025 regular meeting;

4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows; and
c. payment of bills;

5. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report;

6. Annual review of policies related to reimbursements of expenses and fees of office;

7. Insurance Policies; (expires March 15);

8. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 and 7 Rehabilitation Project;
b. Lift Station Rehabilitation Project (Phase II);
c. MUD 9 Buckingham Water Plant Generator Project;
d. update on MUD 9 proposed Lake Estates drainage improvements; and
e. update on demolition of the Old Walden Fire Station;

9. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts;
c. update on information needed for District and Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”) Annual Report to San Jacinto River Authority and City of Houston; and
d. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (“LSGCD”) Alternative Water Source Report;

10. Fee Amendment to agreement for services with Hays Utility North;

11. Rate Order;

12. Update on policies and procedures for issuing electronic notices to customers;

13. Security Report, including update on cybersecurity assessment;

14. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association; and
b. MUD 9;

15. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. filing of financial and tax-related information with Texas Comptroller pursuant to Texas Local Government Code, Sections 203.062 and 403.0241 for the Special Purpose District Public Information Database;
b. Liquidated Damages provisions in contracts for construction of facilities; and
c. update on matters related to amendment of the Interlocal Agreement with MUD 9 for Financing, Construction, Ownership, Operation and Maintenance of Water Facilities;

16. Election Agenda:
Orden Del Día Referente a la Elección:
a. update on May 2, 2026 Directors Election matters, and take any necessary actions on same;
actualización sobre los asuntos de la Elección de Directores del 2 de mayo de 2026, y tomar las medidas necesarias al respecto;
b. adopt Order Calling Directors Election;
adoptar la Orden de Llamado a Elecciones para Directores;
c. approve Election Services Agreement and Joint Election Agreement with Montgomery County for joint election costs; and
aprobar el Convenio de Servicios Electorales y el Convenio de Elecciones Conjuntas con el Condado de Montgomery; y
d. authorize payment to Montgomery County for joint election costs;
autorizar el pago al Condado de Montgomery los costos de la elección conjunta;

If, during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Board should determine that a closed or executive session of the Board should be held or is required in relation to any agenda item included in this Notice, then such closed or executive meeting or session, as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, will be held by the Board at the date, hour, and place given in this Notice concerning any and all subjects for any and all purposes permitted by Sections 551.071 through 551.084, 551.0761 and 551.089, of the Texas Government Code and the Texas Open Meetings Act, including, but not limited to, Section 551.071, for the purpose of a private consultation with the Board’s attorney on any and all subjects or matters authorized by law.
