Waste Water Treatment Plant
The Waste Water Treatment Plant phase 2 is now operational.
This has been a major expansion and replacement of 45 year old equipment. The effluent now from the new plant meets meets the new Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permit requirements. The contractor is completing the work and should be demobilizing by mid December.
AWBD Public Service Videos
The Association of Water Board Directors (AWBD) has prepared a number of general Public Service Aannoumcement videos on topics including: Storm Water Drains are not Trash Dumpsters; How are My Taxes Calculated; Protect the Pipes, Don’t Flush the Wipes; and MUDs, a Texas Heritage.
WWTP Phase I & New District Website
The MUD 8 new Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Phase I was recently completed and has now passed all performance tests. We have been operating with the new facility since March 1, 2022. This plant increases the capacity from 800,000 gallons per day to 1,200,000 gallons per day to handle all of the MUD 8 and MUD 9 waste water treatment and also now in compliance with the new Texas Commission of Environmental […]
