NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2022, at 9:00 A.M, at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito Municipal de Prestación de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Montgomery nro. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas llevará a cabo una reunión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES, 9 DE FEBRERO DE 2022, a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, en la cual se considerarán los siguientes temas:

1. Consider public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Approve minutes of January 12, 2022 regular meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. review collection report; and
b. review Delinquent Tax Report;

4. Adopt Order Determining Ad Valorem Tax Exemptions;

5. Adopt Resolution Authorizing Petition Challenging Appraisal Records;

6. Adopt Resolution Implementing Penalty for Delinquent 2021 Taxes, including Section 33.11 of the Tax Code, and Contracting with Attorneys to Collect Delinquent Taxes;

7. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. review and approve financial reports;
b. review cash flows;
c. authorize payment of bills; and
d. review and approve Quarterly Investment Report (4th quarter 2021);

8. Review and approve Agreement for Bookkeeping Services;

9. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. update on status of Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) Improvement Project;
b. update on status of renewal application for TPDES WWTP Discharge Permit;
c. update on status of Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Televising Project;
d. update on status of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Poe Street Water Plant, including review bids for award of contract, authorize preparation of construction contract, authorize execution of construction contract, and authorize Engineer to issue notice to proceed as approved, subject to Attorney review;
e. update on status of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Browning Street Water Plant;
f. update on status of Emergency Preparedness Plan as required by Senate Bill 3;
g. update on status of annual inspection of District’s water plants; and
h. review request by Safe Harbor Marinas for Will Serve Letter for Walden Marina;

10. Operator’s Report, including:
a. review monthly water and wastewater operations; and
b. review delinquent accounts;

11. Update on claims filed for damages against Tachus’ subcontractors;

12. Update on District’s website and communications services, including update on status of development of joint website with Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”);

13. Review and approve joint agreement with MUD 9 and Off Cinco;

14. Miscellaneous Reports, including updates on:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association (“WCIA”) meetings;
b. MUD 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

15. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. update on matters involving the WCIA, including:
i. update on status of agreement for grounds maintenance at District facilities, and take any necessary actions on same;
ii. update on status of solid waste collection agreement, and take any necessary actions on same; and
iii. update on request for payment of maintenance fees; and
b. update on status of Order Establishing a Records Management Program and Designating a Records Management Officer, and take any necessary actions on same;

16. Election Report, including:
Informe Electoral, incluyendo:
a. update on May 7, 2022 Directors Election matters, and take any necessary actions on same; and
a. actualización sobre los asuntos de la Elección de Directores del 7 de mayo de 2022, y tomar las medidas necesarias al respecto; y
b. determine canvassing date for May 7, 2022 Directors Election; and
b. determinar la fecha de escrutinio para la Elección de Directores del 7 de mayo de 2022; y

17. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Sec. 551.072, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
