NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2022, at 9:00 A.M, at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito Municipal de Prestación de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Montgomery nro. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas llevará a cabo una reunión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES, 9 DE MARZO DE 2022, a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, en la cual se considerarán los siguientes temas:

1. Consider public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Approve minutes of February 9, 2022 regular meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. review collection report; and
b. review Delinquent Tax Report;

4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. review and approve financial reports;
b. review cash flows;
c. authorize payment of bills; and
d. review and approve Quarterly Investment Report (4th quarter 2021);

5. Review and approve insurance proposal submitted by Gallagher Insurance;

6. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. update on status of Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) Improvement Project;
b. update on status of renewal application for TPDES WWTP Discharge Permit;
c. update on status of Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Televising Project;
d. update on status of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Poe Street Water Plant;
e. update on status of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Browning Street Water Plant;
f. update on submittal of Emergency Preparedness Plan to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as required by Senate Bill 3;
g. update on status of annual inspection of District’s water plants; and
h. update on status of review of Safe Harbor Marinas’ design plans for Walden Marina;

7. Operator’s Report, including:
a. review monthly water and wastewater operations; and
b. review delinquent accounts;

8. Update on claims filed for damages against Tachus’ subcontractors, and take any necessary actions on same;

9. Authorize e-statement incentive program offered by First Billing Services, LLC;

10. Update on District’s website and communications services, including update on status of development of joint website with Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”);

11. Review and approve joint agreement with MUD 9 and Off Cinco;

12. Miscellaneous Reports, including updates on:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association (“WCIA”) meetings;
b. MUD 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

13. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. review policies related to development of land, and take any necessary actions on same;
b. update on matters involving the WCIA, including:
i. approve agreement for grounds maintenance at District facilities;
ii. approve agreement for waiver of maintenance fees; and
iii. update on status of solid waste collection agreement;
c. update on status of Order Establishing a Records Management Program and Designating a Records Management Officer, and take any necessary actions on same;

14. Authorize attendance at Association of Water Board Directors – Texas Spring Breakfast (April 22, 2022) and 2022 Summer Conference (June 23-25, 2022);

15. Election Report, including:
Informe Electoral, incluyendo:
a. update on May 7, 2022 Directors Election matters; and
a. actualización sobre los asuntos de la Elección de Directores del 7 de mayo de 2022; y
b. adopt Order Declaring Unopposed Candidates Elected to Office and Canceling Election; and
b. adoptar una Orden para declarar electos al cargo a los candidatos sin oponentes y cancelar la elección; y

16. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Sec. 551.072, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
