NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2022, at 9:00 A.M, at the Walden Community Church, located at 12400 Walden Road, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito Municipal de Prestación de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Montgomery nro. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas llevará a cabo una reunión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES, 8 DE JUNIO DE 2022, a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Community Church, ubicada en 12400 Walden Road, Montgomery, Texas 77356, en la cual se considerarán y se actuará sobre los siguientes temas:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Election Report:
Informe Electoral, incluyendo:

a. Issuance of Certificates of Election;
Emitir Certificados de Elección;

b. Qualification of Directors;
Análisis de requisitos de los Directores;

c. Administration of Oaths of Office; and
Tomar juramento para la asunción del cargo; y

d. Elect Officers;
Elegir funcionarios;

3. Update on review of stormwater flow along Emerson Drive;

4. Approve minutes of May 11, 2022 regular meeting;

5. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:

a. review collection report; and

b. review Delinquent Tax Report;

6. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:

a. review and approve financial reports;

b. review cash flows;

c. authorize payment of bills;

d. review and approve Quarterly Investment Report (1st quarter 2022); and

e. authorize filing of Texas Unclaimed Property Report, if necessary;

7. Review District’s Ethics Policy and expense reimbursements, and amend if necessary;

8. Engineer’s Report, including:

a. update on status of construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) Improvement Project;

b. update on status of renewal application for TPDES WWTP Discharge Permit;

c. authorize design of Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project;

d. update on status of 2022 Lift Station Inspections;

e. update on status of construction of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Poe Street Water Plant;

f. update on status of design of Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Browning Street Water Plant;

g. update on status of review of Safe Harbor Marinas’ design plans for Walden Marina; and

h. review proposal for electrical review to optimize efficiency of water plant facilities;

9. Operator’s Report, including:

a. review monthly water and wastewater operations;

b. review delinquent accounts;

c. update on items identified as needing repair during the annual inspection of District’s water plants; and

d. approve distribution of Drinking Water Quality Report (CCR);

10. Update on District’s website and communications services, including update on status of development of joint website with Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”);

11. Miscellaneous Reports, including updates on:

a. Walden Community Improvement Association (“WCIA”) meetings;

b. MUD 9 meetings; and

c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

12. Attorney’s Report, including:

a. update on status of solid waste collection agreement with WCIA; and

b. review Texas Open Meetings Act provisions related to videoconferencing and establish policies and procedures related to same;

13. Executive Session, as necessary:

a. as may be permitted by Sec. 551.072, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;

b. reconvene in Open Session; and

c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
