NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Minutes of March 8, 2023 regular meeting;

3. Audit Report for Fiscal Year Ended (“FYE”) December 31, 2022;

4. Preparation and submittal of Continuing Disclosure Report;

5. Submittal of Audit Report for FYE December 31, 2022 to State Comptroller, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Texas Water Development Board (“TWDB”);

6. Presentation from Today’s Integration regarding security at District facilities;

7. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:a. collection report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report;

8. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows; and
c. payment of bills;

9. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) Improvement Project;
b. renewal of Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System WWTP Permit;
c. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project;
d. Motor Control Center and Control Building Replacement Project for Browning Street Water Plant; and
e. annual water plant inspections;

10. Landscaping improvements at the WWTP;

11. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts;
c. annual Groundwater Credit Report;
d. submittal of annual water loss audit to TWDB;
e. status of repair of items identified during the annual inspection of District’s water plants; and
f. status of repair of items identified in 2022 Lift Station Inspection Report;

12. Emergency/hurricane preparedness plan;

13. Arbitrage Compliance Specialists’ 5th-Year Rebate Report for Series 2018 Bonds;

14. District’s website and communications services;

15. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association (“WCIA”) meetings;
b. Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

16. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. Solid Waste Collection Agreement with WCIA; and
b. Contract with Allco, Inc.; and

17. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
