NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito Municipal de Prestación de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Montgomery nro. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas llevará a cabo una reunión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES, 13 DE DICIEMBRE DE 2023, a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, para considerar y actuar sobre los siguientes asuntos:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Minutes of November 8, 2023 regular meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. collection report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report;

4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows;
c. payment of bills; and
d. Quarterly Investment Report (3rd quarter 2023);

5. Order Adopting Budget (General Fund) for Fiscal Year Ending (“FYE”) December 31, 2024;

6. Order Adopting Budget (Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”)) for FYE December 31, 2024;

7. Confirm engagement of Auditor for preparation of audit for FYE December 31, 2023;

8. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. WWTP Improvement Project;
b. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project;
c. Storm Sewer Outfall Cleaning and Televising Project;
d. improvements to Lift Station Nos. 5-7; and
e. Annual Water Plant Inspection;

9. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts;
c. repair of items identified in 2022 Lift Station Inspection Report;
d. Lead Service Line Inventory required by Environmental Protection Agency’s rules regarding lead and copper content in plumbing fixtures;
e. storm sewer outfall repair on Ripplewind Drive; and
f. Annual Water Loss Audit to Texas Water Development Board;

10. Association of Water Board Directors (“AWBD”) Water Smart Application;

11. Membership renewal in AWBD;

12. District’s website and communications services;

13. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association meetings;
b. Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

14. Eminent Domain reporting compliance pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 2206.151-157, as amended;

15. 2024 Annual Agenda;

16. Attorney’s Report;

17. Election Agenda:
Orden Del Día Referente a la Elección:
a. update on May 4, 2024 Directors Election matters, and take any necessary actions on same;
