NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2024, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

Por la presente se notifica que la Junta Directiva del Distrito Municipal de Prestación de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Montgomery nro. 8 (el “Distrito” o “MUD 8”) del Condado de Montgomery, Texas llevará a cabo una reunión ordinaria, abierta al público, el MIÉRCOLES, 13 DE MARZO DE 2024, a las 9:00 A.M., en el Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, para considerar y actuar sobre los siguientes asuntos:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Review insurance policies;

3. Minutes of February 14, 2024 regular meeting;

4. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. collection report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report;

5. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows; and
c. payment of bills;

6. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) Improvement Project;
b. Storm Sewer Outfall Inspection Project;
c. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 & 7 Rehabilitation Project;
d. Annual Water Plant Inspection;
e. Multi-Sector General Permit; and
f. Storm sewer drainage on Thoreau Drive;

7. Landscaping improvements at the WWTP;

8. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts;
c. Lead Service Line Inventory required by Environmental Protection Agency’s rules regarding lead and copper content in plumbing fixtures; and
d. storm sewer outfall repair on Ripplewind Drive, including authorize installation of Cured In Place-Pipe;

9. Security at District facilities, including ratify Operator’s contract with MJ Enterprises for installation of fencing at District facilities;

10. Approve submittal of Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency Plan to regulatory agencies (due May 1, 2024);

11. District’s website and communications services;

12. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association meetings;
b. Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

13. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. amend Director Ethics Policy; and
b. Entergy easement;

14. Election Agenda:
Orden Del Día Referente a la Elección:
a. update on May 4, 2024 Directors Election matters, and take any necessary actions on same; and
actualización sobre los asuntos de la Elección de Directores del 4 de mayo de 2024, y tomar las medidas necesarias al respect; y
b. Adopt Order Declaring Unopposed Candidates Elected to Office and Canceling Election; and
Adoptar Orden para declarar electos al cargo a los candidatos sin oponentes y cancelar la elección; y

15. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
