NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2024, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Minutes of November 13, 2024 regular meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. Collection Report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report

4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows;
c. payment of bills; and
d. Quarterly Investment Report (3rd Quarter 2024);

5. Order Adopting Budget (General Fund) for Fiscal Year Ending (“FYE”) December 31, 2025;

6. Order Adopting Budget (Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”)) for FYE December 31, 2025;

7. Audit for FYE December 31, 2024;

8. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation at Water Plant Nos. 1 & 2;
b. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 & 7 Rehabilitation Project;
c. Water Plant No. 2 Phosphate System Project;
d. Stormwater Outfall Inspection Report; and
e. Annual Water Plant Inspection;

9. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts; and
c. Annual Water Loss Audit to Texas Water Development Board;

10. Association of Water Board Directors (“AWBD”) Water Smart Application;

11. AWBD membership;

12. Security at District facilities;

13. Landscaping at WWTP;

14. District’s website and communications services;

15. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association meetings;
b. MUD 9 meetings; and
c. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District meetings;

16. Agreements with City of Huntsville, including:
a. Option to Purchase and Agreement to Pursue Water Supply; and
b. Water Supply Agreement;

17. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. Walden Fire Station;
b. Policy Prohibiting the Use of Certain Social Media Applications on District Equipment; and
c. matters related to contract with Allco, LLC; and

18. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
