NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2025, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Minutes of January 8, 2025 regular meeting and January 29, 2025 special meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. Collection Report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report;

4. Order Determining Ad Valorem Tax Exemptions for the Tax Year 2025;

5. Resolution Authorizing Petition Challenging Appraisal Records;

6. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows;
c. payment of bills; and
d. Quarterly Investment Report (4th Quarter Fiscal Year Ending 2024);

7. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project at Water Plant Nos. 1 & 2;
b. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 & 7 Rehabilitation Project;
c. Stormwater Outfall Inspection; and
d. Annual Water Plant Inspection;

8. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations; and
b. delinquent accounts;

9. Security at District facilities;

10. Insurance Policies;

11. Landscaping at Wastewater Treatment Plant;

12. District’s website and communications services;

13. Attendance at Association of Water Board Directors Spring Seminar, Summer Conference and Directors Workshop;

14. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association meetings; and
b. MUD 9 meetings;

15. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. Update on agreements with City of Huntsville for water supply;
b. Walden Fire Station;
c. Policy Prohibiting the Use of Certain Social Media Applications on District Equipment; and
d. matters related to contract with Allco, LLC; and

16. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
