Meeting Agenda – January 8, 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2025, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:
1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);
2. Minutes of December 11, 2024 regular meeting;
3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. Collection Report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report
4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows; and
c. payment of bills;
5. Annual review of policies related to reimbursements of expenses and fees of office;
6. Insurance renewal, obtain proposals if requested ( expires March 15);
7. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Ground Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project at Water Plant Nos. 1 &2;
b. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 & 7 Rehabilitation Project;
c. Stormwater Outfall Inspection Report; and
d. Annual Water Plant Inspection;
8. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts;
c. update on information needed for District and Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”) Annual Report to San Jacinto River Authority and City of Houston; and
d. Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (“LSGCD”) Alternative Water Source Report;
9. Security at District facilities;
10. Landscaping at Wastewater Treatment Plant;
11. District’s website and communications services;
12. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association meetings; and
b. MUD 9 meetings; and
13. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. Walden Fire Station;
b. matters related to contract with Allco, LLC; and
c. filing of financial and tax-related information with Texas Comptroller pursuant to Texas Local Government Code, Sections 203.062 and 403.0241 for the Special Purpose District Public Information Database; and
14. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
