MONTGOMERY COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 8 OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2025, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:
1. Public comments *(public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public)*;
2. Minutes of June 11, 2025 regular meeting;
3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report, including:
a. Collection Report; and
b. Delinquent Tax Report;
4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows;
c. payment of bills; and
d. authorize filing of Texas Unclaimed Property Report, if necessary;
5. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 and 7 Rehabilitation Project;
b. Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”) Buckingham Water Plant Generator Project; and
c. request by property owner to District for abandonment of interest in certain platted utility easements;
6. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations; and
b. delinquent accounts;
7. Status of Water Smart program application, including Resolution Approving Submittal of Water Smart Application for Inclusion in Association of Water Board Directors Water Smart Partners Program;
8. Security Report, including:
a. security at District facilities; and
b. proposals for cybersecurity assessment;
9. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association; and
b. MUD 9;
10. Attendance at Association of Water Board Directors’ 2025 Fall Seminar and 2026 Mid-Winter Conference on January 23-24, 2026;
11. Development status of District under Texas Water Code Section 49.23603 for 2025 tax year;
12. Attorney’s Report, including update on Old Walden Fire Station site; and
13. Executive Session, as necessary:
a. as may be permitted by Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Gov’t Code, concerning real estate, security, litigation, or matters involving attorney-client privilege;
b. reconvene in Open Session; and
c. vote on matters discussed in Executive Session, if any.
