MONTGOMERY COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 8 OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Directors of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8 (the “District” or “MUD 8”) of Montgomery County, Texas will meet in regular session, open to the public, on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2025, at 9:00 A.M., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery, Texas 77356, at which meeting the following items will be considered and acted upon:

1. Public comments (public comment shall be limited to 3 minutes per member of the public);

2. Minutes of September 10, 2025 regular meeting;

3. Tax Assessor/Collector’s Report;

4. Bookkeeper’s Report, including:
a. financial reports;
b. cash flows; and
c. payment of bills;

5. Authorize distribution of Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) facilities’ budget for fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, to Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 9 (“MUD 9”);

6. Engineer’s Report, including:
a. Lift Station Nos. 5, 6 & 7 Rehabilitation Project;
b. MUD 9 Buckingham Water Plant Generator Project;
c. update on demolition of the Old Walden Fire Station (“OWFS”);
d. 2026 Off-Site Lift Station Rehabilitation, Phase II Project; and
e. Capital Improvement Plan;

7. Operator’s Report, including:
a. monthly water and wastewater operations;
b. delinquent accounts; and
c. submittal of Application to Amend Alternative Water Source (AWS) Production Permit to Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District;

8. Annual review of Rate Order, amend as necessary;

9. Security Report at District facilities, including update for cybersecurity assessment;

10. Miscellaneous Reports, including:
a. Walden Community Improvement Association; and
b. MUD 9;

11. Annual review of Post-Issuance Tax Exempt Debt Compliance Policies; and

12. Attorney’s Report, including:
a. update on real estate matters related to OWFS;
b. update on policies for issuing emergency notifications to customers; and
c. update on matters related to the Interlocal Agreement with MUD 9 for Financing, Construction, Ownership, Operation and Maintenance of Water Facilities.

If, during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Board should determine that a closed or executive session of the Board should be held or is required in relation to any agenda item included in this Notice, then such closed or executive meeting or session, as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, will be held by the Board at the date, hour, and place given in this Notice concerning any and all subjects for any and all purposes permitted by Sections 551.071 through 551.084, 551.0761 and 551.089, of the Texas Government Code and the Texas Open Meetings Act, including, but not limited to, Section 551.071, for the purpose of a private consultation with the Board’s attorney on any and all subjects or matters authorized by law.
